Account Manager
Los Angeles * Orange County * San Diego

The Account Executive reports directly to the Vice President, Business Development. This position is primarily responsible for leading the development of sales opportunities in new and existing accounts. The Account Executive is also responsible for leading the development of proposals and maintaining contact with the client to assure satisfaction with services

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary responsibility of the Business Development Manager II is to lead the development of sales opportunities in new and existing accounts. This will include:

  • Generate leads appropriate to PBM’s target market (pending completion of the client profile);
  • Collect in depth information about the opportunity and/or prospective client company including the business problem that the proposed solution will address, decision-makers, budget and financial position, and purchasing processes;
  • Work with the appropriate Business Unit Director and other pre-sales technical personnel to articulate the proposed solution;
  • Serve as the lead in developing the proposal, Statement of Work, and/or Purchase Order with primary responsibility for proposal delivery and client sign-off;
  • Maintain contact with the client to assure satisfaction – closely through the business development process and then at periodic intervals through (and beyond) project completion; and
  • Work with Client Support as appropriate to maintain contact with the client and assure client satisfaction, continuing to seek information about changing business priorities and opportunities to expand the account.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years experience as a “closer” with a strong sales track record in technology-related services.
  • An understanding of the environment and challenges of IT operations in the typical enterprise and mid-market corporation.
  • The ability to compete creatively with larger firms in PBM’s channel (and win).
  • Knowledge and familiarity with networking, IP telephony, Network Monitoring, Security, Mobility, Data Center Solutions, Managed services and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with Cisco hardware, services, the Cisco organization.
  • Strong understanding of how clients use technology to meet business objectives.
  • Familiarity with the Southern California market.

Account Manager (AM)
The Account Manager is primarily responsible for supporting an appointed Business Development Manager II. This role assists the development of sales opportunities in new and existing accounts and collaborating with its BDM II in the development of proposals and maintaining contact with the client to assure satisfaction with services. Requirements: Minimum of 1-2 years experience in security, unified communications and data center solutions sales with a working knowledge of selling advanced technology-related services. Familiarity with the Southern California Commercial marketplace.

Solutions Engineer - Unified Communications (SE1)
Los Angeles/Pasadena Area
The SE1 is a pre-sales engineering position. This position is responsible for supporting sales by working with Business Development Managers in the Cisco TAM space to close sales and by interfacing between Business Development and PBM Engineering. The SE1 is also responsible for assisting in the preparation of proposals (BOMs), and performing demonstrations. Requirements: CCDA, CCNA required. Cisco Unified Communications experience preferred.

Senior Internetwork Engineer (SIE)
The Senior Internetwork Engineer is primarily responsible for providing engineering implementation support throughout various phases of project work. Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or or equivalent level of education. A minimum of eight year's experience providing engineering implementation support. CCxP required, CCIE preferred.
